It's the consumer. They want things like sound deadening beauty covers, some size, comfort, doodads, etc. The 240z heater box is right there in the passenger footwell, barely carpet padding, the seats aren't terribly padded either.. And it is truly skinny; you can unroll the passenger window while driving down the highway without much effort. Been there, done that a lot and grew up in one. Dad still has it (original owner). Just a pure sportscar. The manufacturer's should offer strippers.
